St. Louis Cardinals hitting the panic button? | Cardinals Talk W/ Russ Eddins
Welcome to episode number two of Cardinals Talk! With the biggest month of the season approaching for the St. Louis Cardinals, pressure is on staff and players to deliver strongly. After a disappointing sweep to the Toronto Blue Jays, the Cardinals sit 6.0 GB from the Chicago Cubs at the top of the division, going 4-8 over the last 12 games.
Tensions are high with a series against the Milwaukee Brewers approaching, who just sit .5 GB from the Cardinals. Injuries to Brenden Donvoan and Jordan Walker have seemed to derail the offense for the red birds, and a lackluster approach from the pitching rotation has shown mediocre signs for Cardinals fans.
As the trade deadline continues to approach, Russ and I discussed the possibilities of trade scenarios for the Cardinals, and what internal moves the team can make to stay competitive.
A quick recap of the Blue Jays, Royals, and Rangers series is discussed in today’s episode, with much talk surrounding the front office and manager Oliver Marmol. It’s do or die time for the Cardinals in June, and the true testament of this team will be shown over the next few weeks!
